Pumlani means “you people must rest” and you will find that this Beach House is perfectly designed so that you can do just that.
The beauty of this location is that it is quite literally on the beach. The lawns roll down to the edge of the sand and you never have to pack to go anywhere. In fact you don’t have to move – you can sit on the grass and watch while the waves wash the seashore only meters away and the kids play in the rock pools just below you.
It has a large open plan living area which includes, kitchen, dining room, bar area and 3 different seating zones. On either side are bedroom wings, so you and your family can play games, read, watch TV and just generally chill in the middle and go off to peace and quiet whenever you want to.
A main bedroom and a twin bedded room share one wing with a bathroom, separate shower and separate loo. On the other side, upstairs has two double bedded rooms, a shower and loo, while downstairs has a double and a twin bedroom, as well as a dormitory with 6 bunk beds conveniently nearby if your kids are little. And of course a shower and loo as well.
The downstairs deck has places to sit in the shade, places to lie in the sun, and a table for those al fresco meals. The upstairs deck also has seating, and is a great place to enjoy your sundowners with sweeping views across the bay and into the sunset.
Two braais mean that if the wind is blowing, you can braai in the patio, and on a lovely sunny day, you can braai on the grass. There is something really special about sitting there, with the noise of the sea and the smell of the salty air while your fire turns driftwood into coal.
