Whispering Waves

Many locals and visitors agree that Whispering Waves has ‘the best spot’ in Kei Mouth. Situated on the beach, and bordering the golf course, we boast spectacular views of breaking waves and breathtaking sunrises. It is the perfect place to relax, fish, or just get away with family and friends.

Whispering Waves consists of 40 self-catering chalets and rondavels, 9 four sleeper and 31 six sleeper units, each fully equipped for your self-catering get-away and each with its own braai facility. Many have covered verandahs, and most have a beach view. There’s also plenty of open space for the kids (of all ages) to run around.

The beach is less than a minute’s walk from your door where you can enjoy fishing, swimming, soaking up the sun or just taking a leisurely walk…we also have a pool for those who prefer the less sandy option for swimming and cooling off on those hot summer days.

We have a shared freezer room where you are welcome to store your extra meat, bait, and all those fish you catch while here.

Accommodation
At Whispering Waves we have 4 and 6 sleeper rondavels and chalets.

Each rondavel/chalet is fully equipped with stove, fridge, cooking utensils, pots/pans, crockery, cutlery and linen. Each unit has its own bathroom with a shower. Please note we do not supply towels, and during the winter, it’s advisable to bring an extra blanket. Each unit has its own braai. Please note we do not have TVs or microwaves and we are NOT pet friendly.

2023 Rates

1 Dec 2023 – 5 Jan 2024:
R300 per adult per night (16 years and older)
R200 per child per night (5 – 15 years old)
Children under 5 stay free

7 – 10 April:
R300 per adult per night (16 years and older)
R200 per child per night (5 – 15 years old)
Children under 5 stay free

Rest of the year:
R250 per adult per night (16 years and older)
R150 per child per night (5 – 15 years old)
Children under 5 stay free

The rate for one night stays over weekends is R300 per person.

6 sleeper rondavels
The six sleeper rondavel is made up of two adjoining rondavels, one with a double bed and bathroom leading off it, and one with a bunk and two single beds. The adjoining section makes up the kitchen and living area. All the 6 sleeper rondavels are around the pool.

4 sleeper chalets
We have four 4 sleeper chalets. Two with 1 bedroom with a double bed, and two single beds in the lounge area; two with 2 bedrooms, one with a double bed, one with two single beds. All the 4 sleeper chalets have a covered stoop with the braai area under cover.

6 sleeper chalets
All the 6 sleeper chalets have two bedrooms, one with a double bed, one with either 2 bunks, or one bunk/one single and the fourth single in the lounge area. Many have verandahs and most have a sea view. All the beachfront chalets are 6 sleepers.
