Kei Mouth’s 2025 Beer Fest: The Ultimate Round Up
Didn’t make it to the 2025 Kei Mouth Beer Fest? You may have missed a taste of true Kei Mouth spirit — but don’t worry, we’ve got you covered! Kei Mouth Tourism was on hand to soak up the vibe and share the best moments from the day.
Despite the strong winds that kept some locals hunkered down, those who ventured out found a surprisingly sheltered haven at the heart of the Beer Fest — where the atmosphere was anything but still, setting the stage for a memorable day.
How The Kei Mouth Best Fest Got Into The Swing
The gates opened at midday, and the Country Club grounds quickly swelled with cheerful festivalgoers, beer in hand and smiles on their faces. There were plenty of rugby fans among them, warming up their beer-drinking muscles 🍺 in preparation for the 3 p.m. kick-off at Twickenham.
Getting us all into the spirit of things was local cover band Third Degree, who started cranking out those familiar toe-tapping tunes an hour before the game commenced. Their lively set carried the crowd happily into the afternoon, as the scent of sizzling boerie rolls and fragrant curries hovered in the sea air.
With their music providing the vibe, and a warm sun offering a welcome reprieve from the wind, visitors browsed colourful craft stalls and tucked into an impressive array of local flavours — from Mr Yut’s now-famous spring rolls and Sanet’s irresistible carrot-cake cupcakes, to hearty servings from The Club, R J Braai, and Indian Delights.
Raising a Glass to the Beer Fest Highlights
Of course, it wouldn’t be a Beer Fest without, well, beer! 🍻
Emerald Vale held their usual prime spot, serving up their much-loved brews (and the highly collectible Beer Fest glasses) to the steady rhythm of Third Degree’s bassline. Right next door, the crew from Table 58 brought their trademark energy — and their colourful costumes — as they poured apple gin and craft beers to keep spirits high.
For those after something with a little more kick, Noleen was in her natural habitat behind the Jägermeister stand, offering shots and — for the brave — Jägermeister cupcakes topped with bright green icing and a healthy splash of the real thing.
It wasn’t all about the grown-ups, though. The few hardy youngsters who braved the wind enjoyed pony rides with Wild Coast Horses, a mini train adventure, the ever-popular jumping castle, and the Club’s permanent jungle gym. Stephen Bright was also on hand to give kids a creative new look with his chalk-based face paints — though keeping the designs windproof was an art in itself! 🎨💨 There will be glitter on the golf course for years to come!
Cheers To Community Spirit
Organised by KMORA (the Kei Mouth Owners and Residents Association), along with the Kei Crew and Kei Festivals sub-committees, and hosted by the Kei Mouth Country Club, the Beer Fest once again brought residents and visitors together for a true seaside village experience — proving that even a blustery day can’t dampen Kei Mouth’s community vibe.
Funds raised will be split between the Country Club and KMORA, helping to maintain the golf course and support the Kei Crew’s ongoing efforts to keep Kei Mouth looking its best — from fixing potholes and trimming verges to maintaining communal spaces like Grosvenor Square.
How to Celebrate Our Seaside Village Experience
Don’t forget — the Kei Festivals team doesn’t stop at the Beer Fest! They also organise the much-loved Christmas Street Market, bringing festive shopping 🛍️ right to your doorstep and making it easy to celebrate life in our seaside village.
Many of the talented stallholders from the Beer Fest will be there too, so if you spotted something you loved, you’ll have a second chance to grab it. The Market will be taking place on the 21st December, so if you’re planning a holiday in Kei Mouth, be sure to arrive the weekend of 13th and 14th December — you won’t want to miss it! 🎄
